Purnniema is a devoted Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer who has been sharing her love for this classical art form since 2006. Her journey began with formal training in school, deepened through years of intense study in the Kalakshetra style under esteemed Gurus. With a Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam, she founded Atulya Nritya, which has grown to include branches in Gurgaon, India, San Jose, CA and Frisco TX.

Purnniema's passion for Bharatanatyam goes beyond teaching; it’s a lifelong love affair with the art. Purnniema is deeply committed to choreographing new pieces each year, infusing them with creativity and meaning. She meticulously develops themed performances, dedicating an entire year to perfecting them. These annual showcases are eagerly anticipated by her students and their parents, and they serve as a pinnacle of the learning experience at Atulya Nritya.

 

Purnniema’s students have excelled in numerous international competitions, earning recognition and respect in their communities. As an accomplished performer, she has brought to life various productions, including "Anandam," "Krishan Leela," and "Mahishasur Mardini." Her choreographies often explore profound themes, blending traditional narratives with contemporary social issues, all while expressing the full spectrum of human emotions through the navrasas.

 

Her dedication to the art has earned her accolades, including the prestigious Kala Ratna Award by MID.
